According to Missouri Case.net, the Missouri state courts automated case management system, former Blytheville police officer Cody Glenn Gentry, 30, had a warrant issued against him Thursday by the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department on the charges of first degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The prosecuting attorney is asking for a $10,000 bond and for him to be ordered to have no contact with the victim.

According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, as of press time, he has not been arrested.

Gentry was forced into medical retirement from the Blytheville Police Department as a result of severe brain damage and neurological injuries received on January 13, 2011 when Gentry crashed his police cruiser and nearly died while pursuing a false robbery report at a local business.

According to a statement by Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, "June 11, 2015 at 4:30 p.m., Pemiscot County dispatch received a call to 4896 Highway 61 in Steele, Mo. Deputies arrived and Mr. Jerry Eaton advised a W/M suspect from Paragould, Ar was there to pick up some boat seats he had recovered. An argument began over if payment was due for the work, or if it had already been paid for. During the argument the suspect claimed Mr. Eaton grabbed him, and he, the suspect, had a previous severe head injury and could not take another blow to the head. The suspect was armed with a pistol, however claimed to have not pointed it at Mr. Eaton. The versions of the stories did not match."

Jerry Eaton told the CN that about six weeks ago, Gentry allegedly robbed him at gunpoint, physically attacked him from behind, and threatened to kill him and his uncle. He added that Gentry allegedly took the seat covers and panels which he had reupholstered, without paying the bill of $1,600. He also says that Pemiscot County Sheriff's Deputy, Officer Tony Dale, cuffed and patted Gentry down, pulling a gun from his front pocket and tossing the gun into the door panel of Mr. Gentry's truck, before letting him go.

The CN was unable to reach Gentry for comment.
