A Blytheville man was arraigned today on charges in connection with a string of gun-related crimes.
On June 13, 2014 at approximately 2:00 PM Officers responded to the 1900 block of Hearn Street in reference to a subject pulling a gun on a female and firing several shots inside of the residence. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the 22 year old female victim who advised that she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend. The female victim stated that she and her boyfriend, 21 year old Christopher Aldridge, had just broken up at her house. The victim stated that she and Aldridge got into a verbal altercation, which eventually turned physical. According to the victim, Aldridge asked her if she wanted him to leave, to which she said 'yes'. The victim advised that Aldridge walked out of the room, but then walked back in with a handgun and fired four rounds near her head into the wall. Moments later the victim's mother came home, at which point Aldridge fled the area on foot.
On June 22, 2015 just before 8:00 PM Officers responded to an address on Melody Lane in reference to an aggravated robbery. Upon arrival contact was made with the 27 year old female victim (from Jonesboro), who advised that she was robbed at gun point in the area of 16th and Sycamore. The female stated that she and an old friend were driving around town when he asked her to pick up a black male who was walking along the roadway. The female advised that she pulled over, the subject got in, and she was directed to the area of 16th and Sycamore. The victim stated that the subject exited the vehicle and opened up her door. The victim advised that the offender brandished a handgun, took her purse, phone, and money and then took her friend's phone, as well as another purse in the vehicle which belonged to a female friend from Jonesboro. The victim stated that she dropped off her friend, and then immediately contacted the Police.
On June 26, 2015 the female victim contacted an Investigator after identifying the offender from social media. The female provided the profile name of the offender, who was known to the Investigator as Christopher Aldridge. Based on the information provided, an affidavit was completed and warrants obtained. On June 26, 2015 an Investigator traveled to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office to meet with Aldridge, who was being held for a parole violation since June 24th. Aldridge is being charged with Terroristic Act, Aggravated assault on a family or household member, 2 counts of aggravated robbery, 3 count of theft of property, and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
Aldridge was arraigned in Blytheville District Court and bond was set at one hundred thousand dollars with his next court date set for July 27th, 2015.
