Shawna Adams, with the Natural History Education Company of the Midsouth, thrilled a lively crowd of more than 50 children and adults at Blytheville Public Library Tuesday, June 9 with her animal program "Underdogs." Adams talked about what makes ordinary animals extraordinary and brought some her animal friends to help demonstrate. In addition to Rocco the black headed python pictured, she brought Legs, a European glass lizard, Flash, a friendly tortoise, Calvin, a very shy fox, prairie dog siblings Bonnie and Clyde, a goat named Henry and more. There will be two more animal programs this summer at the Blytheville Public Library. For a full schedule visit the library's website www.mclibrary.net.
