The Great River Economic Development Foundation (GREDF) spent Tuesday's meeting reviewing expenses for its website that is being built, as well as looking at funds used to film "Life in Mississippi County" videos that will be featured on the website.
The purpose of this website will be to attract people from other areas of unemployment into Mississippi County, especially with the opening of Big River Steel in Osceola.
"On the site will be featured links to current job openings as well as local real estate agents to make the process of moving one's family across the states an easier process," said Clif Chitwood, chairman of the GREDF.
Also, a motion was made to approve a new contract for Aviation Repair Technologies (ART) for a minimum of 80 jobs, and to release ART from its previous contract of 300 jobs.
Upon passing, the contract for ART is valid for 10 years and it will help ART to continue to provide the Aeroplex with rent and jobs while still allowing the company to raise capital after the collapse of one-third of the airline industry during economic hardships.
