Frances N. Mitchell
Frances N. Mitchell, 78, of Dyess, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015, at her residence after a long illness. Mrs. Mitchell was born Jan. 23, 1937, at Prim, Ark., to the late Earnest and Martha Hendrix. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and listening to music.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Carr and wife Stefanie of Buckeye; one daughter, Linda Simms and husband Kyle of Dyes; three stepsons, Richard Mitchell and wife Sharon of North Little Rock, David Mitchell of Naperville, Ill., and Charles Jeffrey Mitchell of West Chicago, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Deloris Mitchell of North Little Rock; one sister, Norma M. Anderson of Keiser; one brother, Roy Hendrix and wife Faye of Bentonville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Mitchell; first husband, William Morris Carr, Sr.; one son, William Morris Carr, Jr.; twin sister, Shirley Bell Britton; one great-grandchild, Zoey Marie Carr.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Bro. Gary Morris officiating. Interment followed at Manila Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
The family received visitors from noon until service time Tuesday at Faith Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Zachary Nichols, David Mullen, Kenny Jackson, Billy Simms, Trenton Baugus and David Halpain. Colton Reeves served as honorary pallbearer.
