Desmond M. Wells
Desmond M. Wells, 35, of Blytheville, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
He was born in Blytheville, the son of Benny Wells and Curly Tracy. He was a Blytheville High School graduate, attended Arkansas Northeastern College and was a certified welder. He had been an employee of Prospect Steel and a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
Mr. Wells leaves his wife, Jamie Wells of the home;
Two sons, Xamie Cannon and Mester Collins of the home;
His mother, Curly Cotton of Blytheville;
His father, Benny Wells of Blytheville;
Twenty-one siblings, Everick Jordan and Fred Jordan, both of Irving, Texas, Nadia Wells, Bernetta (Fredrick) Taylor, Tracey (Ted Cage) Thompson, Derrick Wells, Carlos (Naomi) Johnson, Quinshetta Dixon, Jada Mullins, Ikekesha Buckner and Devion Barnett, all of Blytheville, Scottie Wells of Cleveland, Ohio, Jerry Wells of Carbondale, Illinois, Shemika Marshall, Lakesha (Chris) Day and Kahilda (Rickey) Bell, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Benny Wells Jr. and Korshawn Wells, both of Jonesboro, Shelby Hoy of Aurora, Colorado, Malik Wells of Dallas, Rodrick (Candice) Spencer of Atlanta and Benny Mays of Hattisburg, Mississippi;
Twenty-three aunts and uncles, Paulette (James) Walker, Nancy (Curtis) Jackson, Mary A. Wells, Linda (John) Talley, Sharon Luster, Aurlee Bass, Willie Wells, James (Barbara) Wells, Johnny (Faye) Wells, Jimmy (Karen) Wells, Cordell Wells Sr., Charles (Deborah) Wells, Billy Joe Wells, Danny (Treecie) Wells, Tina (Richard) Powe, Dorothy Jones, Shirley (Joe) Murray, Betty Mitchell, Ruby Coleman, Joe (Frankie) Potts, Jerry (Julie) Hall, Tommie Lee (Jackie) Mayhan and Charles Mayhan; and
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Visitation and funeral services are Thursday at New St. Paul Baptist Church, 515 E. Sawyer St. in Blytheville, the Rev. Clark Phillips, pastor. The visitation will begin at noon, and services will be at 1 p.m.
