GOSNELL --The Gosnell Lady Pirates dropped both games of a 3-4A conference doubleheader Tuesday night.
The Lady Pirates lost the first gane 6-0 and then dropped the second 10-2 to the visiting oppoenent, Pocahontas Lady Redskins.
Pocahontas broke open a close game with four runs in the top of the fifth on their way to a 6-0 win over Gosnell Tuesday night.
The Lady Redskins opened the game with two runs in the top of the first inning before their four-run fifth.
Jackie Brees, Brista Hinklin and Ciara Watson picked up hits for the Lady Pirates in game one.
Ahead, 1-0, the Pocahontas Lady Redskins plated six runs in the fourth inning on their way to a 10-2 win over Gosnell in the second game Tuesday night. Gosnell scored two runs in the fifth inning but could get no closer. Alexis Quick and Ciara Watson picked up hits for Gosnell in game two. Gosnell drops to 8-12 and finish the 3-4A season with a 3-9 record. They'll wrap up the season on the road at Marked Tree on Thursday.
