Carter's Corner, owned and operated by Bill and Sherry Carter, is opening up its secondary location in Blytheville.

Located at 646 E. Main St., Suite C, Carter's Corner had its soft opening on Monday.

Carter's Corner sells work and western boots available in children's, men's and women's sizes, along with belts, hats, boot accessories, and some clothing lines including, Ariat, Cinch and Wrangler.

"I'm very excited to open our new store. We have a lot of customers that drive from Blytheville to Jonesboro just for a pair of work boots," said Sherry Carter, co-owner of Carter's Corner. Mrs. Carter, also known as the "Boot Master," said Carter's will be working closely with all surrounding factories in accepting boot vouchers and providing boots that meet all safety standards. "We offer a wide selection of steel and composite toe as well as 11 different styles of met guard boots. No one in the surrounding areas has that wide of a selection, especially of the met guard boots."

Carter's Corner first opened in 1988 in Jonesboro. After receiving so much positive business over the last 27 years the Carters said they knew it was time to open up a second location closer to a majority of their customers. After attending a WSO (Work Safety Organization) meeting in Blytheville, they realized this would be the perfect place to open up another location.

"We feel like the Lord just led us here, everything fell into place, and the community and the mayor have been so receptive and positive about us opening here in Blytheville," said Sherry. "We have been truly blessed with this business and we are happy to provide our customers with the same 'Selection, Savings and a Smile,' only closer to home."
