The following are reports from the Blytheville Police Department.
-- Officers took a forgery report from an individual who said someone forged his deceased wife's name on a change of address document at the Blytheville Post Office.
-- Police investigated a theft in the 2100 block of West McHaney. Missing were a bathtub and two glass windows from the home, which is being remodeled.
-- Police investigated a robbery in the First and Cherry Street area. The victim said two black males "appeared outta nowhere" holding a black firearm. They told him to hand over all his money; he gave them approximately $45. One offender was described as having a medium build, roughly 5-foot-8, and wearing black pants, a blue shirt and a T-shirt hiding his face. The other was approximately 6-foot, wearing black pants, a blue shirt and a T-shirt hiding his face.
-- Officers investigated an assault at Chickasaw Courts. According to the report, the father of the victim's children hit her in the face and threatened her with a knife.
-- Police took a harassment report in the 1300 block of South First Street.
-- Officers took a harassment report in the 1100 block of West Walnut.
-- Police attempted to arrest a 17-year-old, who allegedly was showing residents of the apartment complex two handguns. Then he ran from police in the 1000 block of North Second after they found two guns he allegedly hid behind an air conditioning unit. The officer deployed his Taser, but missed, the report said. The officer then lost sight of the offender, but collected the firearms as evidence, along with a gray hoodie that was placed over the hidden guns.
-- Officers investigated an assault in the 1700 block of West Rose. According to the report, the altercation began at Capri Apartments on North Second, where the offender pulled the victim's hair and tore off her clothing. He took her phone and relocated to West Rose, where he allegedly hit her in the head with his fist, grabbed her by the hair and at one point struck her on the shoulder and in the back with a hammer. He also told her, "if you call the cops, you'll get shot," the report said.
-- Police took a harassment report regarding social media posts and text messages sent to a juvenile girl.
--Officers took a shoplifting report at Walmart.
-- Police investigated an assault on Southeast Parkway.
-- Officers took a disorderly conduct report. An official with the local NAACP said the offender was being disorderly during their executive meeting at the library. He said she refused to leave, and this has been an ongoing problem.
