Riverside's Kollin Stone pitched a no-hitter to lead Riverside to a 9-0 shutout victory over East Poinsett County in 2A-3 high school baseball action Monday afternoon at Lepanto.

Stone, who improved to 3-0 on the year, pitched seven innings, striking out 13 while issuing seven walks. Stone also had a big day at the plate with a pair of hits, three RBI and four steals. Matthew Fraser belted a pair of hits, while Luke Baker and Dillon Turner added two RBI each. Devon Austin blasted a run scoring triple for the Rebels.

The win gave the Rebels a 7-1 overall mark and boosted their conference record to 4-0.

Buffalo Island Central

Buffalo Island Central fell 4-1 Thursday afternoon to East Poinsett County. Clay Malone picked up the win for the Warriors, striking out 10 Mustangs on the day. Malone also had a pair of singles and a double and drove in two runs.

Kylor Gordon had a double and scored a run. Aaron Scales stole three bases and scored twice while Peyton Phillips added an RBI as the Warriors improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in 2A-3 conference play.

Manila

Manila lost a pair of games, dropping a 10-0 decision Monday afternoon at Rivercrest before losing to Walnut Ridge 12-1 Thursday afternoon at Manila.

Dylan McLemore fired a no-hitter in the Colt's victory over the Lions Monday. McLemore struck out five while issuing three walks in picking up the win. Joel Burrow suffered the loss for Manila.

Drake Smith's three-run homer highlighted Walnut Ridge's seven-run fifth inning in the Bobcat's win over the Lions. Will Weir pitched five innings to earn the win for Walnut Ridge.

Brett Sweatman (0-1) took the loss for Manila. Sweatman pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing four hits, six earned runs, while walking two and striking out one.

Alex Richard went 2-3 and scored a run while Caleb Reinhart had an RBI single for Manila. Sweatman and Logan Hamilton also added singles for the Lions.

Riverside is scheduled to play Marked Tree Monday afternoon on the road before hosting Marmaduke Tuesday at Lake City. The Rebels are set to play BIC Thursday afternoon, also in Lake City.

Manila hosts Rivercrest Monday afternoon, followed by home games Thursday and Friday against Piggott and Hoxie respectively. The Lions travel to Malden, Mo., Saturday afternoon for a non-conference doubleheader.
