Buffalo Island Central won a pair of games in high school softball action last week, defeating East Poinsett County 3-0 Monday afternoon at Monette before downing Rector 7-3 Tuesday afternoon on the road.

Madison Greathouse picked up the win in both games. The senior right hander fired a no-hitter in the win over EPC, striking out 15 Lady Warriors in going the distance. Greathouse helped herself at the plate, lacing a double while scoring twice. Bailey Owens added an RBI single.

Greathouse also went the distance against Rector, allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits. Greathouse struck out seven. Karoline Thomas led BIC at the plate, going 4-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Greathouse had three hits while Kensie Walker also had three base hits on the day.
