Debra Lynn Barnes
Debra Lynn Barnes, 62, of Manila, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Dec. 13, 1952, at Wilson, she was the daughter of the late Hermon and Leona Goldman Mofield and was raised in the Joiner and Bassett areas. She had been a Manila resident for the past 10 years and was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Mofield, and two sisters, Wilma Blackwell and Wanda McBride.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Charles "Buddy" Barnes of Manila; one son, Charles J. Barnes of Trumann; two daughters, Judy Long and husband Richard of Jonesboro and Alea Barnes of Manila; two brothers, James Mofield of Manila and
Charles Mofield of Leachville; four sisters, Betty Foster of Dallas, Texas, Judy Smith of Forrest City, Cathy Starlings of Dallas, and Sharon Sparks of Jonesboro. She also leaves four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Manila with Rev. Rudy Burrow officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
Pallbearers were Leslie Walker, Andrew Sketo, David Ainsworth, Carl Foster, Michael Mofield, Jeremy Peeler and Lynn Russell. The family received visitors Monday from noon until service time at the church.
