Ron Redmon, 23, was given a $500,000 cash bond after turning himself into the Blytheville Police Department in connection with August 2014 murder of Justin Harrison.
According to BPD Criminal Investigation Division Capt. Scott Adams, Redmon's name kept coming up throughout the investigation of the Aug. 28, 2014, murder. On that night, officers responded to a one-vehicle accident where they found Harrison lying under his motorcycle.
During examination by Mississippi County Coroner Mike Godsey, a single gunshot entry wound was found on Harrison's right side with no exit wound. Witnesses told officers they heard gunshots in the area that night.
During the investigation, multiple witnesses told BPD officers that Redmon had admitted to killing Harrison over a drug deal that went wrong. On Feb. 9, a warrant was issued for Redmon's arrest, and on Feb. 12, he surrendered himself to detectives.
According to the police report, Redmon denied killing Harrison and told officers he didn't know why anyone would say he was responsible for the shooting.
