Southworth employees in Manila were treated to a barbecue luncheon, catered by Strawberry's, celebrating an accident free year. The luncheon was held on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
Chuck White, safety manager, and Shelly Barley, HR manager, were on hand to welcome everyone and offer their praise for a job well done.
All the employees were included in the celebration as "Building 77" of Southworth Products, a company that builds adaptable positioning products for a worldwide market, celebrated 365 days accident free, something, that building manager Blue Daniel says, has never been accomplished.
They attribute this success to, what can only be described as, "employee involvement"--everyone looking out for the safety of others.
"Building 18," of this same company, will be having a celebration of their own, as they approach 370 days accident free on March 13, 2015, also a new company record says building manager, Don Ledford.
White said that is not all.
"Southworth has another facility in this small town called, "Building 801," where Kevin Lewis and his crew are setting new records every day with an unbelievable 2,420 days accident free," he said.
Safety of the employees is a priority at Southworth.
Again, White expressed his appreciation to all of the employees.
Southworth has been located in Manila for 30 years.
