Douglas Electric HVAC, Inc. has relocated at 306 Cobean Boulevard in Lake City in the former Masonic Lodge building. Formerly housed in Manila, the business, owned by Greg Douglas, serves the Buffalo Island and surrounding area in Northeast Arkansas.
The sheet metal shop is housed in the new building.
The family business was started by his father, Leroy Douglas, in 1976 in Caraway. Greg grew up working with his dad and took the lead when Leroy retired.
Greg's wife, Ann, works in the office. Their son, Hunter, makes up the third generation at Douglas Electric. Hunter is a sophomore at Riverside High School and works with his dad during the summer months.
Employee David Mullen has been with the business for 1-1/2 years.
Greg and Ann have grown twin daughters, and two grandchildren, Parker and Paisley.
"We offer service, maintenance, repairs and installation for air conditioning and heating units, and electrical work," Douglas said. "Our business has been built on honesty, integrity and quality."
