Patsy Ruth McGhee Taylor

Bill Taylor of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, announces the passing of his wife of 51 years, Patsy Ruth McGhee Taylor, on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015.

Patsy was born in Blytheville on March 28, 1938. Patsy and Bill lived in Arkansas and brought up their family there until moving to Alabama in 1997. She was the last surviving child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McGhee of Blytheville, Arkansas. Patsy was one of seven children.

She is survived by her husband Bill and their children, Vanessa Taylor Pruett and her husband Phillip Pruett of Springville, Alabama, Tim Taylor and his wife Kathy Taylor of Dexter, Missouri, Michael Joe Taylor of Muscle Shoals and Mark Taylor of Birmingham, Alabama, and their respective families, including four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Grandchildren include Elizabeth Yost and her husband Chris of San Antonio, Texas, Jenny Wiltfong and her husband Josh of Camdenton, Missouri, Lauren Johnson Wright and her husband Brandon of Starkville, Mississippi, and Taylor Johnson of Auburn, Alabama.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville, Alabama.
