Leon E. Crigler
Mr. Leon E. Crigler, 85, of Senatobia, Miss., formally of Sledge, Miss., passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Senatobia Convalescent Center. He was born on April 15, 1929, in Black Oak, Ark., to Minnie Dunkerson and Miller Crigler. He was a retired cotton farmer and a member of Sledge First Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his fifty years of service as a song leader at churches in Sledge and Arkansas.
Mr. Crigler is survived by one daughter Rhonda Crigler West (Charlie) of Sardis, Miss.; one son, Larry Crigler (Vivian) from Sardis, Miss.; one sister, Bonnie Craft (Robert) from Tallulah, La.; two brothers, Noble Crigler (Margaret) from Viola, Ark., and Bob Crigler from Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Crigler and his parents.
Mr. Crigler will be remembered as a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at the Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Sardis, Miss., with visitation from 9-11 a.m.
Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Panola County. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
