BIC superintendent Gaylon Taylor went through the district's account balances. The board then unanimously approved the district's financial statements.

The board then passed a resolution for contract disclosures for Patricia Duffle, Melinda Wells and Cindy Lancaster.

Taylor recognized teacher Jae Glass who has been chosen by Arkansas State University as a fellow for its summer writing program. He also recognized BIC East librarian Shelly Hurst who has received a $3,000 Dollar General Literacy grant. The district has also gotten a $762 Donors Choose grant that will bring author Carla Killough McClafferty to the school's campuses to speak with students and share about writing.
