Mr. and Mrs. George David Cooke of Blytheville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtney Elizabeth Cooke, to Jonathan Andrew Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Michael Baker of Blytheville.

The bride-to-be is a 2012 salutatorian of Blytheville High School where she was a member of the 2011 state championship gymnastics team. She is pursuing an associate degree in nursing at Arkansas Northeastern College. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel William Sullivan of Blytheville and the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Cooke of Steele.

The prospective groom is a 2011 honor graduate of Armorel High School where he was a member of the 2011 state championship baseball team. He is employed at Atlas Tube. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Erick Cleveland Baker, the late Mr. Leon Hanford Lilley, and the late Mrs. Anna Marie Robinson.

First Baptist Church in Blytheville will be the setting for the Dec. 27 wedding.
