Leachville business owner Michael Webster is seeking election to Ward 3 Position 2. Michael is a fourth generation, lifelong resident of Leachville and graduated from Buffalo Island Central in 1994. Mr. Webster founded two Leachville businesses in 1999 -- Buffalo Island Self-Storage and Buffalo Vending. Both have expanded greatly in the last 15 years.
Four years ago, Michael married Kim Clowers, also a lifelong resident of Leachville, and together they have four children attending BIC. Webster currently serves on the board of The Leachville Foundation, Inc., which is a newly-formed, 501C3, nonprofit charity for Leachville. He is a member of the Leachville First Assembly of God.
Webster said there are three important parts to a community -- city government, churches/charities, and businesses. A community is at its best when all three parts are healthy, active, and at full speed.
"It's my goal to help in any way possible with any of these areas," he said. "I am an experienced person with a business mind. I am constantly setting goals, achieving them, and then moving on to more. I fully believe Leachville is the best town on Buffalo Island to live, own a business, shop, raise kids, and serve the community. There are three things Leachville needs -- a grocery store, better streets, and affordable housing options. All of these things I can and will help with. I am ready to get to work serving the people of Leachville. Please vote Michael Webster for Leachville City Council."
