Local citizen satisfied with hospital visit
To the editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the staff of the Great River Medical Center for the excellent treatment I received on May 28, 2014.
My husband rushed me to the hospital for what I thought would be a routine short visit; however, after an examination by the emergency room doctor, I was sent to Jonesboro immediately, where I was sent directly to surgery. The doctor in Jonesboro said that quick action in Blytheville saved my life.
Every person I came in contact with in the Blytheville hospital was professional and concerned for my well-being. They kept me calm with their actions. I can't imagine what would have happened to me if I had not had the local hospital to go to -- I probably would not be here to write this letter.
I am not a political person but you don't know the importance of the hospital until you or someone in your family needs it. I will be voting for the tax increase.
Every person has a different story concerning their hospital visit, but my visit saved my life.
