Blytheville native Tucker Nunn has been selected as the new Main Street Blytheville executive director, and board members feel his enthusiasm and passion for Blytheville make him the best candidate to continue the MSB legacy.
Nunn, who currently lives in Lyons, Colorado, was born and went to school in Blytheville. His family, which owned Nunn Provision Company in the 1930s, left the area in 1963, but for Nunn, Blytheville always stayed with him and held a special place in his life.
In 2012, despite still living in Colorado, Nunn started looking for ways to do his part in making what he considers his "hometown" a cleaner, safer place, which included buying and restoring property in the city.
"I always loved this place, because it's my heritage and it means a lot to me," Nunn said.
MSB board member and interim director L.C. Hartsfield said Nunn's enthusiasm and passion for Blytheville are rare, making him an ideal candidate for the role of executive director. Hartsfield said he expects Nunn will be settled into Blytheville and ready to step into his new role early in the month of November.
