On Monday, the Blytheville Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshal service in an attempt to locate and capture Micah Hopkins, who is wanted out of Illinois for capital murder charges.
According to BPD Criminal Investigation Division Capt. Scott Adams, Hopkins was identified in Blytheville, and information led to family members who live in the area. When law enforcement made contact with these family members, they confirmed that Hopkins was in fact in Blytheville, but may have left the area.
Hopkins is considered armed and extremely dangerous. If anyone has any information they are urged to contact your local law enforcement agencies immediately at 870-763-4411 or 870-762-0400.
