Antwann C. Newbern
Mr. Antwann C. Newbern, 31, of Blytheville, died Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Born to Joyce Batchelor and the late R.D. Newbern, he attended school in Blytheville and received a General Equivalency Diploma, and was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding with the "Roughriders Club."
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Rolind and Lucinda Newbern and Milburn and Estelle Morris, and brothers Frederick and Victor.
Mr. Newbern leaves his wife, Antranette Newbern of Blytheville;
His step-father, Arthur Batchelor of Milwaukee, Wis.;
Five daughters, Twankira Newbern, Nygeria Newbern, Antwanette Newbern, Miracle Newbern and Jamiria Conner, all of Blytheville;
Nine sisters, Contreade (Milton) Boyd, Tasha (Caleb) Feinstein, Rosla Spiller, Mary Newbern, Angela Price, Konswalowe Johnson and Rochelle Thomas, all of Blytheville, Marlene Austin of Richmond, Va., and Jacqueline Williams of Boston, Mass.;
Seven brothers, Kendrick Miller of Madison, Wis., James (Gloria) Newbern, Patrick (Irene) Newbern, Roland "Little D" Newbern and Ivory Newbern, all of Blytheville, Tony (Regina) Gilbert of Charleston, Ill., and Robert (Kathy) Smith of Jonesboro; and
Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest MB Church with the Rev. Rickey Everett officiating and the Rev. Brian Olden eulogizing. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the church.
