After hitting a record high in April, the county's revenues from tax collection were back down in May, in a decreasing trend which Mississippi County Treasurer Peggy Meatte said is likely to continue at least through June as well.
In May, the county's share of the 1-cent sales tax for county general was $108,614, down from $135,170 in April.
The half-cent economic development tax brought in $271,630, down considerably from April's revenue of $338,018.
Both numbers are also down from May of 2013.
