David Dale Aleshire

David Dale Aleshire, 69, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Mr. Aleshire was born on Aug. 14, 1944, in Adrian, Mich., to Malcom and Marian Birchfield Aleshire.

David retired from ACCO as a purchasing agent, and for the last 13 years he was employed at the Arkansas Tourist Welcome Center. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of The American Legion in Adrian, Mich. David was a member of the Armorel Baptist Church, he was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom Aleshire.

Mr. Aleshire is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Aleshire;

His son, David Dean Aleshire and his wife, Tammy of Benton, Ark.;

His daughter, Lisa James and her husband, Gerald of Blytheville;

A brother, Steve Aleshire and his wife, Cathleen of Camden, Mich.;

A sister, Lynn Aleshire and her husband, Ronnie of St, Augustine, Fla.;

A granddaughter, Jenna James of Blytheville;

Two step-grandchildren, Drew Herzfeld of Fayetteville and Abby Herzfeld of Benton;

His favorite aunt, Peg Caterino of Adrian, Mich.; and

His dog, Crispin.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Armorel Baptist Church. The Rev. John Fulper will officiate.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time Wednesday at the church Church.
