Vickey Jane Long

Vickey Jane Long, 56, of Blytheville, died June 12, 2014 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born Nov. 29, 1957 in Caruthersville, she was an Assistant Manager at Hardee's and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of God in Steele.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas James Grubbs and Bonnie Jane Chaney Grubbs, sisters Carmella Brannon and Melissa Lacey, and brothers Edward Grubbs, Rickey Grubbs, and James Grubbs.

Mrs. Long leaves her husband, Donald R. Long of Blytheville;

One daughter, Lana Burks of Steele;

One grandchild whom she raised, Priscilla Chavez of Blytheville;

Four grandchildren, Victoria, Michael, Tiffany, and Elizabeth;

Two sisters, Wanda Alexander of Somerset and Patricia King of Blytheville;

Five brothers, Gary Grubbs of Caruthersville, Randy Grubbs of Marble Hill, Timmy Grubbs of Oklahoma, Troy Grubbs of Texas, and Loren Grubbs of Poplar Bluff; and

Six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Jeremy Dansworth, will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 15 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery.
