The Blytheville Parks and Recreation crew was busy Wednesday cleaning the Walker Park swimming pool in preparation for the upcoming swimming season. The crew will continue cleaning the pool over the next week. Parks and Recreation director Elroy Brown anticipates the pool being ready within a week or a week and a half.

The city has been interviewing for the open pool manager position and Brown expects the pool to be ready when the individual is brought on board. He noted there are still some lifeguard positions available for those interested in applying.
