A total of 171 absentee ballots were sent in with no identification during the course of the May primary, according to final total from the Mississippi County Election Commission.
The commission met Friday afternoon and certified the vote.
The group also made plans to respond to a request under the Freedom of Information Act made by the American Civil Liberties Union, who wanted to know exactly how many ballots were set aside in compliance with the new voter ID law.
Election Coordinator Johnny Buchanon said that law requires a letter to be sent to every person whose ballot was not counted, which will be done in the coming days.
