Garry Dan Bunch
Mr. Garry Dan Bunch, 62, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday April 30, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late George and Grace Hicks Bunch and had been a Manila resident for most of his life. He was a 1969 graduate of Manila High School and retired from the U.S. Navy after serving more than 20 years as an In-Flight Avionics Technician and Flight Communications Operator. Following his military service he worked as a master electrician through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local 1516. Garry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Crouch Bunch of Manila;
Two sons, Daniel Bunch of Manila and David Bunch and his wife, Cassie, also of Manila;
Three granddaughters, Whitney Nichole Bunch, Molly Rose Bunch and Addie Grace Bunch;
Three brothers, J. R. Bunch of Piedmont, Mo., and Jim Bunch and Michael Bunch of Manila; and
Three sisters, Martha Cary of Forestill, Mo., Minnie Bourland of Fairfield, Calif.,
and his twin sister, Sherry Pratt of Manila.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Manila with the Rev. Jared Russell and the Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Crowell, Lynn Wilmuth, Tommy Carter, Woody Nunnely, Scott Rose and Nicholas Cagle.
