Calvin Burton
Calvin Burton, 52, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Delta Medical Center in Memphis.
Calvin was born here and was a graduate of Blytheville High School. He had been an employee of NIBCO Industries in Blytheville until he became ill. He was a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
His father, Dr. Leo B. Burton, and his brother, David, preceded him in death.
Mr. Burton leaves his son, Calvin D. Burton Jr. of Jackson;
His mother, Eddie M. Burton of Blytheville;
Seven sisters, Teretha Dickerson of Gary, Clara (and Perry) Addison and Eva Burton of Milwaukee, Wisc., Janice James, Etter Wilkes, Anglea (and Charlie) Johnson and Sherrie (and Rev. Fredrick) Clay, all of Blytheville;
Six brothers, Eddie (and Jill) Burton, DDS, of Memphis, Robert (and Estella) Burton of Osceola, Dennis (and Ernestine) Burton, Terry Burton, Rev. Anthony (and Sandra) Burton, and Gregory (and Jacqueline) Burton, all of Blytheville; and
Numerous aunts, uncles, and nieces.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 800 W. McHaney in Blytheville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2104, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church (formerly Aldersgate Methodist Church), 809 E. Main, the Rev. Rickey Everett, Pastor. The Rev. Anthony Burton and the Rev. Fredrick Clay will officiate. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
