Mary Lee Calvin
Mrs. Mary Lee Calvin, 89, of Blytheville, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, in Blytheville. Born March 2, 1925, to the late Ben Robertson and Idella Parnell, she was a homemaker and a member of Greater Holy Temple in Blytheville and a former member of First Baptist in Joiner.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calvin; one daughter, Carrie Mae Smith; three sons, Andy Smith, Amos Smith and Harvey Smith; and one brother, Bennie Robertson.
Mrs. Calvin leaves six daughters, Georgia Smith and Wydell (and Otis) Wysynger, both of East St. Louis, Ill., Rosie Henry of Blytheville, Annie Mae (and Charles) Burnette of Luxora, and Mary Washington and Bessie Smith both of Osceola;
Three sons, Curlee Smith of Okla., Jessie (and Annette) Smith of Osceola, and Lonnie (and Patricia) Smith of East St. Louis, Ill.;
One sister, Nora Mae Robertson of Jackson, Miss.; and
A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at First Baptist in Joiner with pastor Kevin Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove in Evadale. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
