Layne Rayder of Blytheville came within 8 points of winning the nationwide BRACKETBUCKS contest and finished third overall.

He was one of three contestants to correctly pick all four Final Four teams -- Kentucky, Florida, Wisconsin and eventual champion, Connecticut.

Rayder finished with 1,780 of a possible 2,000 points. A 72-year-old retired accountant, Jim Vojir of Medina, Ohio, won the $2,500 grand prize, after piling up 1,788 points and picking all four Final Four teams.

Rayder did win the $100 local prize.
