ARMOREL--The Armorel Tigers stayed perfect in the 1A-3 East after a 10-0 shutout over the Bay Yellowjackets in five innings Wednesday night at Billy Brown-Hugh Don Ashmore Field.

Ashton Kennedy pitched a three-hit shutout for the Tigers. Kennedy struck out eight and allowed just one walk and three hits over five complete innings of work to pick up the win.

The Tigers scored two runs in each of the second and third innings before putting the game away with six in the home half of the fifth.

Kennedy (double, two runs scored and a stolen base), Dallas Nicholson (triple, RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base), Andrew Lannon (triple, RBi and a run scored), Peyton Brown (hit, RBI and two runs scored) and Nash Winters (hit and a run scored) led the offense for the Tigers.

After dropping two of three games in the tough Batesville Tournament over the weekend, the Tigers improve to 6-8 on the year and 4-0 in the 1A-3 East. Armorel will try to continue their winning streak in the 1A-3 East with a doubleheader against Crowley's Ridge Academy at 4 p.m. Thursday at Armorel.
