Riverside picked up three wins on the softball diamond last week, shutting out Rector 6-0 Monday at Lake City, pounding East Poinsett County 10-2 Tuesday at home, and handling Walnut Ridge 7-4 Wednesday afternoon before dropping an 8-5 decision Thursday at Marmaduke.

Taylor Archer fired seven scoreless innings to pick up the win over Rector. Archer allowed four hits and struck out six. Kaitlyn Hale had a pair of hits and drove in two runs Riverside.

The Lady Rebels scored four first innings runs and Archer made them stand up in Riverside's victory over EPC. Archer went the distance to gain the win, scattering six hits while allowing just two runs. Archer fanned nine Lady Warriors.

Jordan Miller's two-run double highlighted Riverside's four run outburst in the opening inning. Miller finished the day 2-3 with a pair of RBI. Anna Brickell went 2-2 with two RBI while Kayli Womack also had a pair of hits and drove in a run.

Archer also went the distance in Riverside's victory over Walnut Ridge. Archer struck out eight batters while allowing all four runs. Archer aided her own cause with a pair of hits. Womack went 2-3 with two RBI while Brickell also added a pair of hits.

Marmaduke scored eight runs in the final three innings to post a come from behind 8-5 win over the Lady Rebels Thursday afternoon. Deborah Pratt had a pair of hits and two RBI to spark Marmaduke, while Tiffany Traywick picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Greyhounds.

Riverside improves to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in league play.
