Buffalo Island Central remained unbeaten on the year with a 13-6 victory over Marked Tree in 2A-3 softball action Thursday afternoon on the road.

Madison Greathouse banged out three hits, scored three times and drove in a run while picking up the win on the mound as the Lady Mustangs improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in league play. Greathouse struck out nine Lady Indians while giving up just two runs and a walk.

Hannah Poe also rapped out three hits for BIC and scored a run. Catherine Colbert had a pair of singles and drove in two. Bailey Owens singled, doubled and had an RBI while Karoline Thomas had three RBI for the Lady Mustangs.

Jay Perry led the Lady Indians with two hits and a pair of RBI. Kelsey Pitts also laced a pair of singles and drove in a run while scoring twice. Brianna Smith singled twice and drove in one run while Holly Smith also had a pair of hits for Marked Tree, who dropped to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
