Ritchey selected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ANC

Dan Ritchey of Blytheville has been selected to serve as the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Arkansas Northeastern College.

Ritchey, a longtime proponent of access to higher education, has served on the Arkansas Northeastern College Board of Trustees since 2003 when he became an ex officio member. He was appointed to the Board by the governor in 2007, and has served on various committees and as an officer since that time. Prior to his service to the ANC Board of Trustees, he served on the Board of Trustees for the Cotton Boll Technical Institute for many years.

Ritchey's educational background includes a law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; Bowen School of Law; a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Arkansas; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Arkansas State University. Ritchey has a long history of active community service as a member and President of the Blytheville Lion's Club; member and past President of the Greater Blytheville Area Chamber of Commerce; and a past President of the Blytheville United Way. He has maintained a general law practice in Northeast Arkansas for many years.

Ritchey believes that Arkansas Northeastern College has been a positive force in the region and the State of Arkansas, and that, with the current facilities, staff, and administrative leadership in place, Arkansas Northeastern College will continue to grow and provide vital and significant services and opportunities.

Arkansas Northeastern College is a comprehensive, two-year institution of higher education offering a flexible schedule and courses at each of its locations in Blytheville, Burdette, Leachville, Osceola and Paragould. Arkansas Northeastern College is a non-residential college, with a primary focus on learning. Classes are small and highly interactive.
