Jessie Mae Overman Jacobs

Mrs. Jessie Mae Overman Jacobs, 82, of Osceola, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2014, at SMC Regional Hospital in Osceola. Born March 15, 1931, to the late Arthur Williams and Susie Mae Williams, she was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leman Jacobs; one daughter, Mary Marie Buchanan; one son, Allen Overman; three sisters; and one brother.

Mrs. Jacobs leaves three daughters, Bonnie Jean Jacobs and Ema (and Luther) Whitfield of Osceola and LaVonn (and Eugene) Hooks of Jonosboro;

Three sons, Joe Overman of Inkster, Mich., Leon (and Beurnestine) Jacobs of Pine Bluff and Frankie Jacobs of Osceola; and

A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with pastor Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Osceola.
