BAY -- Armorel narrowly led Class 1A second-ranked Bay at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite pull off the big upset on the road, falling to the Yellowjackets, 59-43.
The win gave undefeated Bay its sixth straight 1A-3 East conference title.
Armorel (12-12, 2-5 1A-3 East) trailed 13-9 going into the second quarter, but rallied to take a 20-19 lead at halftime.
Lane Finley and Nash Winters both splashed big three-pointers in the period to help the Tigers take the lead.
Bay regained the lead in the third quarter, leading 35-28 going into the fourth. Bay's Taylor Layne scored nine of his game-high 21 in the fourth period, including making 7 of 9 at the line in the final 8 minutes.
Finley led Armorel with 13 points, while Winters added 12. Dallas Nicholson chipped in seven, Peyton Brown six, Michael Truong four and Zack Gray one.
Tyler Pritchett scored 13 and Kylar Skaggs 12 for Bay, which was 16 of 24 at the free throw line .

Bay 29, Armorel 24
The Junior Tigers also fell to Bay, 29-24. Armorel led 3-1 after the first period and 8-1 at halftime. The Junior Tigers were up, 15-14, going into the fourth.
Seth Wyatt scored a game-high 11 in the loss. Monroe Carr added five, Logan Blankenship and Jared Wyatt three apiece and Trevon Tate two for the Junior Tigers.
