Bridgette Gardner
Ms. Bridgette Gardner, 31, of Blytheville, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock. Born in Blytheville, she was the daughter of Anthony Rice and Dettris Clark.
She was a graduate of the Blytheville High School class of 2000 and attended Arkansas State University where she pursued a degree in social work.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Thomas Lee Gardner II; and her beloved grandmother, Mrs. Alberta Jenerette.
Bridgette loved working with children; this passion led to her employment at Arkansas Counseling Associates. She was a faithful member of Faith and Glory Christian Fellowship Church, and served as an administrative chairperson and sang in the choir. She enjoyed family and friends, telling jokes and quoting movie scenes from favorite movies.
Survivors include a son, Tederian Isaiah Blair, and her parents, Pastor Adron and Dettris Poole, all of Blytheville;
Five brothers, Ramsey (and Kimberley) Gardner of Austin, Texas, Thomas Gardner III of Texas, Sedrick James of Blytheville, Dedrick Poole of Little Rock, and Randall Murphy Jr. of Chicago;
Three sisters, Cordie Shakera Gardner of Blytheville, LaTosha (and Rodrick) Harris of Redfield, Ark., and Lisa Johnson of Chicago;
Her grandparents, Ernest and Hazel Clark, Amanda Walker and Jesse Jenerette, all of Blytheville, Fred and Alice Culclager of Pine Bluff, and Cordie Murphy of Fredericksburg, Va.;
Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends; and
A special friend, Terrance Carthren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Faith and Glory Christian Fellowship Church, 1510 Kari Lane n Blytheville, where the pastor is Adron Poole.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 E. McHaney Drive in Blytheville, where the Rev. Odale Jones is pastor. Pastor Adron Poole will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery with arrangements by McDonald-Horne Funeral Home of Blytheville.
