Manila School District officials will host several public meetings to discuss the proposed millage increase for the purpose of constructing a new high school.
Superintendent Pam Castor said the superintendent's office will be open for viewing of plans of the new high school from 2-6:30- p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, and 2-6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27. Patrons will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the project.
Monday, Dec. 30, there will be two public meetings. One will be held at the Etowah Fire Station at 6 p.m. and a second one at the Manila High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
On Jan. 3, prior to the Hoxie ballgame, starting at 5 p.m. representatives will be available in the lobby of the gymnasium. Patrons will be able to view renderings of the new high school and to ask questions.
The final scheduled public meeting will be held at the Manila High School Auditorium at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9.
