Navy Band to play free concert Friday at Ritz

The United States Navy Band Mid-South will be performing at the Ritz Civic Center again this Friday night, for what will be the band's third free concert in Blytheville this year.

The Ritz's David Lyttle said that since the group's first performance last December, the band has requested to return twice, saying members like coming to Blytheville.

In addition to the performance Friday, the band will be giving a musical clinic for students of Blytheville Middle School and Blytheville High School Friday afternoon.

The band, based out of Millington Naval Air Station in Memphis, will be performing Christmas and holiday seasonal songs. The performance begins at 7 p.m. at the Ritz and is free, but only a limited number of tickets are available. Tickets must be picked up in person at The Ritz.
