Buffalo Island Central stampeded past Midland 69-38 to record their 10th win of the season in senior boys basketball action Tuesday night at Pleasant Plains.

Jacob Sanders drained four treys and finished with a game high 19 points to lead the Mustang scoring attack. Nick Bollinger scored 16 while Austin Pike recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists. Alan Carmichael also pitched in 10 points for the Mustangs.

BIC led 16-1 after the first quarter, 39-17 at the half and 64-22 after three periods of play.

The Mustangs will return to action this week when they travel to Bradford to participate in the White County Invitational Tournament. BIC will also travel to Cherry Valley to take on Cross County in a 2A-3 conference matchup Tuesday night.

In senior girls action, BIC downed Midland 69-54. Taylor McKuin led four Lady Mustangs in double figures with 17 points. Madison Greathouse scored 15 points and dished out five assists, Hannah Poe had 11 points and five assists while Karo Thomas tallied 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The Lady Mustangs travel to Cross County Monday night for a 2A-3 conference game and will also participate in the White County Invitational Tournament this week in Bradford.
