Sydell Shannon

Mr. Sydell Shannon, 50, of Blytheville, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville. Born March 29, 1963, to Ida Bynum and the late Millard Shannon, he was a factory worker and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

Mr. Shannon leaves his fiancé, Sheila Tribble of Blytheville;

Three daughters, Keosha Shannon and Lisa Shannon of Cleveland, Ohio, and Brandy Shannon of Lincoln, Neb.;

Two sisters, Gennette Brown of Buford, S.C., and Gilda Patterson of Grand Rapids, Mich.;

Four brothers, Donald Shannon and Aaron Shannon of Blytheville, Glen Shannon of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bruce Elliot of Little Rock; and

Two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Fredrick Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Yarbro Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home.
