Jekita Ann Davenport Zolman
After 9 courageous years of battling ovarian cancer, Mrs. Jekita Ann Davenport Zolman of Arbyrd, Mo., passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at the age of 65 years.
Jekita was born March 20, 1948, in Leachville, to Martin and LaVerne Pruett Davenport. She was married to Lyman Ray Zolman Jan. 15, 1971. She was employed by the Natural Gas Company for over 42 years and a member of the Senath First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lyman Zolman;
Her parents, Martin and LaVerne Davenport of Arbyrd;
Two daughters, Stephanie Law and husband, David, of Arab, Ala., and Jessica Smith and husband, Aaron, of Arbyrd;
One sister, Alesa Lea and a niece, Devon Wheeler, both of Jonesboro;
Her step-children, Richard Zolman and wife, Kathy, of Arbyrd, and Sherry McClelland and husband, Dale, of Cardwell;
Eight grandchildren, Megan and Jordan Zolman of Arbyrd, Nathan, Ryan and Landon Law of Arab, Ala., Chase and Katie McClellan of Cardwell, and Ethan Smith of Arbyrd; and
Many other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m., Saturday at McDaniel Funeral Service in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Senath First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Lulu Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy, Patrick and Adam Lenderman, Johnny and Zachary Zolman, Christopher and Justin Butler, and Paul Shearer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Forbes, Roger Duty, Howard Hill, Bob Nichols, Danny Tucker, Keith Guthrie, Bo Lea and Rick Haywood.
