Farmers Bank & Trust President Randy Scott has announced the bank's newly constructed
Manila Office, located at 3644 West Highway 18, will open for full service banking on Monday, Dec. 2.
In making the announcement, Scott commented, "As we stated several months ago when announcing we would be building an office in Manila to better serve this vibrant market, we see great things happening in Manila, and we want to be an even closer part of that. Not only is the new Manila Office convenient and beautiful, we will have extended banking hours at this office - from 7 a.m.--6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8:30 a.m.--1 p.m. on Saturdays - that will make banking with our bank convenient for everyone in Manila."
Scott also announced that Sandra Casey, a 19 year Farmers Bank employee in Blytheville, has been promoted to assistant vice president and will manage the new Manila office.
An enthusiastic Casey commented, "I've been living in Manila now for the past six months, and I love it! I am thrilled to be working in our new Manila office, and I'm especially excited about being available in Manila daily to help our community."
Matthew Wade Noble, a 2005 Manila High School graduate and a 2010 Arkansas State University graduate with a BS in accounting with an emphasis in banking, has also joined the bank as loan officer at the new Manila office.
"We are fortunate," bank President Scott commented further, "to have such an excellent banker as Sandra in Manila to manage our new office, and to attract an outstanding young man like Matthew to our bank team. Farmers Bank & Trust has served individuals and businesses all across our region for more than 100 years, and now Manila will be served better than ever."
New Farmers Bank staffer Noble has been working the past three years as an accountant at Thomas, Speight, & Noble, and he and his wife Morgan, an RN at Wagner Medical in Manila, are active members of First Baptist Church, Manila, where Matthew has served on the church's Finance Committee since 2012.
"I'm excited to join such an outstanding community bank as Farmers Bank & Trust," Noble said. "Farmers Bank is the oldest and largest bank in Mississippi County, Ark., and our bank is the only bank headquartered in Mississippi County."
