Ridgefield Christian surprised Riverside 59-51, handing the Rebels their first loss of the season Tuesday night in Jonesboro.
Andy Newman led the Warriors with 19 points while Dylan Green and Taylor Davidson added 14 and 11 points respectively.
The Warriors (1-3) led 16-10 after the first break, 29-19 at the half and 42-31 entering the final frame.
Devon Austin paced the Rebels with 19 points. Caleb Waugh scored 17 while Kollin Stone added 10. Ben Hensley chipped in three while Victor Cerda added two points for the Rebels.
In junior high action, Riverside coasted past the Warriors 50-20. Ten players hit the scoring column for the Rebels, led by Gavin Stone's 11 points. Braden Overman scored nine, Chris Sain tallied seven, Canon walling netted six, Garret Grimes pitched in five while Dillon Turner and Gannon Crews added three points apiece. Dylan Davis, Dylan Austin and Matthew Fraser chipped in two points apiece.
Lady Rebels
The Lady Rebels blasted Bay 63-40 Tuesday night at Lake City. Riverside (5-0) was led by Anna Brickell, who scored 13 points. Kenzley Wilson chipped in 12 while Natalie Milligan snared eight rebounds.
Katie Ferguson led the Lady Yellowjackets with a game high 23 points while Brittany Roedel added 13 more.
In the junior high contest, Riverside defeated Bay 33-22. Haven Robertson led Riverside with 14 while Carson Smith added 10.
Riverside downed Gosnell 50-36 Monday night on the road. Chelsea Nichols topped the Rebels with 18 points while Sarah Wright led the Lady Pirates with 12 points.
Riverside also took the junior high contest 45-41. Haven Robertson led the Lady Rebels with 16 points while Bailey Fisher added 12 more.
