Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce President Randy Zook talked about the importance of future jobs during Monday's monthly luncheon of the Greater Blytheville Area Chamber of Commerce, specifically making Arkansas more competitive in the global job market.
The state has roughly 98,000 unemployed residents and nearly 100,000 more who are considered underemployed.
Zook spoke about the state's tax regulations for income property and usage and sales taxes and how proposed changes could make the state more attractive for possible businesses, effectively bringing in more jobs.
