Alesa Lea, Manila High School art teacher, was pleased to decorate the hallways with works of art by her Art I and Art II students in conjunction with Veteran's Day. Ms. Lea said Veterans Day is very important to her as her dad, Martin Davenport, 88, is a World War II Navy veteran.

Each year she encourages her students to do patriotic pieces of their choice. Guests for the high school Veteran's Day program visited the art room admiring the tribute to veterans.

Pictured are Eddie Joe Barker, 1967 Manila High School graduate and Vietnam veteran; Col Davis Hastings, with Arkansas State Univeristy; and Cadet Isaiah Washington, guest speaker.
