A series of concerts will be held at the Melody Theater in Leachville to help raise money to purchase items including curtains, projector and screen for the improvement of the theater to benefit community projects in the future.
The first concert will be 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, and will feature Steve Cook's newly formed band, Nashville Skyline. Cook began singing at the theater when Marie Kennett began the concerts in the theater several years ago. His band plays a mixture of music from Johnny Cash, Elvis and some 80s music, both soft rock and country. Cook is anxious to be in Leachville to perform.
Opening for Nashville Skyline will be the Full Service Band from the Trumann area. They play the same type of music.
Tickets will be $5 at the door and donations will also be accepted.
